K. I. S. S. | A Q4 Strategy

I’ve been thinking..

There is SO much excess in our lives - online, in our homes, on our calendars. There also is a lot of excess in the realm of skincare. I love love love working on this teeny micro brand — it provides me with so much happiness, but also a not insignificant amount of frustration.

AHOY, Latest Collab!

FoxSea is an itty, bitty brand, and it’s still just a one woman operation. Since I can’t make everything I’d like to offer on this little site, I regularly collab with talented women with other skills. Featuring limited edition, FoxSea-style products crafted by artists and makers I admire has been such a thrill.

Maid of the Mist

I am a face mist LOVAH all year round, but this is the exact time of year when everyone should have a mist in their fridge and their go-bag. Naturally, I’d encourage you to purchase a FoxSea Rose Facial Mist (and will have another option soon-ish), but there are like 78 mists I’d happily recommend (start with the classic Evian atomizer, found here in a travel sized trio or here in the oversized at home canister).

S P F - Yeah

Sun protection is an absolute MUST, though that was not the case when I was in my youth. As a child, I played on the beach all day, my mother praising my deep tan at the end of the summer (she called me her “little nut brown hare”, from a favorite book of ours). In my teenage-hood, I applied Crisco to my limbs while basking on the sand. I cringe when I think of these stories, as I carefully examine the age spots that have formed deep within my dermis. Yikes.

Ahoy, 2021!

A quick glance back at the W I L D year that was 2020 allows me to see some really magical, personal moments and some professional progression forward. FoxSeaSkin.com became an honest to goodness e-commerce shop right before the country (the entire world!) went into that first lockdown.

S A L T Y

One of my favorite things to bring home from the Cape each year is locally harvested salt. Cape Cod Saltworks has been producing solar harvested salts from the waters off Chatham for years and the gorgeous flakes are the most fantastic finish to any culinary creation. I particularly enjoy them sprinkled over my backyard tomatoes - no snack is finer!

Circus Ladies Bake Sale

My Circus Lady friends and I, along with many of our kids, hosted a bake sale to benefit a local organization, The Friends and Family Fund for Southeast Fort Wayne this summer. We raised a ton of money, had an absolute blast, and did it in our own, Circus-y way.
